InstructThe latest webinar in the Instruct-ERIC Structure Meets Function series this month includes two speakers from Instruct's newly expanded and created Centres, outlining the latest services integrated into the Instruct-ERIC catalogue, accessible for structural biology researchers worldwide.
On 20 January at 11:00 CET, the webinar will feature speakers from Instruct Centre Spain and Instruct Centre Germany. The Spanish Centre was significantly expanded in 2025, with several new facilities added to the Centre, providing novel and cutting-edge technologies. In Germany, a new Centre was formed, offering state-of-the-art equipment and expertise in structural biology research.
The first speaker will be Judith Juanhuix of the ALBA Synchrotron in Barcelona, Spain. ALBA is one of the several new facilities added to the Spain Centre, and Judith is Head of the Life Sciences Section at the Synchrotron. They will outline all of the new technologies available through Instruct Centre Spain, and how this supplements the existing services available through the Centre, and elsewhere in Instruct.
The second speaker will be Manfred Weiss, head of the Macromolecular Crystallography group at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, home of the BESSY Synchrotron. Manfred will highlight the technologies available at the newly established Instruct Centre Germany, which provides access to several innovative services in structural biology.
All services on display from Judith and Manfred are available through Instruct, with funded access to the technology available for researchers in Member Countries and Organisations.
