Proposals are required to access the CRYO ARM 300. Internal users may book our smaller microscopes and sample preparation equipment using the booking calendar link. External users, or internal users who don't have booking calendar access, should contact the team scmi@glasgow.ac.uk.
Proposals are assessed for feasibility, whether the proposed experiment stands a reasonable chance of success and if the specimen preparation is sufficiently optimised that accessing the CRYO ARM is the next logical step for the project. While some information about the scientific background of the project is appreciated to help the reviewers understand the project and its aims, this isn't the primary thing the reviewers are looking for.
Helpful things to include, depending on the experiment type
If you don't have those, please include what you have; negative staining, SDS-PAGE gels, chromatogram traces. You will have to explain why cryo-screening wasn't appropriate for your experiment and this is likely to be considered carefully by the reviewers.
